Seems to me that a combination of both is sensible. I use the free version of Syncplicity, which automatically uploads files in my pre-defined folder, a flash drive which I carry around with me and two HDD, one on the laptop, the other external.

You forgot wuala I guess. Encrypted before sending, no way for the storage provider to decrypt it on its own if you don't make your folder / files public. And they don't store your password anywhere.

If only more computer users would take data recovery more seriously before they had a problem. They should be prepared for the worst before things happen, not after.

This posts hits on some very valid points. IT security is quickly becoming a concern for all those that are involved with the subject matter. I have found a site that focused on providing free guides and whitepapers completely dedicated to all things related to internet security. Its definitely work a look over, and I’m sure it can help anyone with a problem.
